Dejana Hub Drive Cable Trailer

Featuring a drive system capable of delivering up to 400,000 in./lbs. of pulling power, the Hub Drive Cable Trailer is now available from Dejana Truck and Utility Equipment. With a reel that can be used for pulling and placing of cable for underground and overhead applications, main features of the new unit include directly connected hydraulic cylinders without toggle linkages, a reel unit with 34 inches of lateral movement and an over-wound winch with built-in slack tension rollers. Trailer specifications include a 34,000-pound GVWR on a tubular frame assembly, a heavy-duty steel platform and a walk-up step. Other features include a self-propelled hydraulically driven and steerable nose wheel, automatic braking in self-propel mode with air brakes and full ABS, and a hydraulically raised and lowered trailer tongue. The Hub Drive on the new Dejana unit has a lift arm capacity of 16,000 pounds and an all-hydraulic driving motor producing 200,000 in./lbs. of torque at 10 rpm. An optional second drive motor will produce 400,000 in./lbs. of torque. The Hub Drive Cable Trailer’s pulling unit is powered by a 100-HP John Deere diesel engine. Two full-function radio remote controls are provided with each unit.
